About us


Krishi Vigyan Kendras are farm technology transfer centres of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) mostly operate through State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and NGOs. Dr Ramanaidu Ekalavya Foundation Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Ekalavya KVK) was started during May, 2017 at Tuniki village of Kowdipally mandal in Medak district of Telangana State which falls under ‘Agriculture Technology Application Research Institute’ (ATARI) Zone-X, Hyderabad. The Ekalavya KVK became fully operational in May, 2018 with 8 scientists specializing in plant pathology, agronomy, soil science & agricultural chemistry, agricultural entomology, horticulture, agricultural engineering & farm machinery, veterinary science & animal husbandry and home science. The vision of Ekalavya KVK is to make farming self-resilient and self-sustainable with the mission to reduce dependency of farmers on external inputs. Ekalavya KVK emphasizes and adopts non-chemical methods of soil fertility and pest management.
